Strange and differentThis is a difficult review, because I m really not sure what I think of this book It s interesting, for sure A military ship crash lands on a planet where everything, every creature, every plant is sentient They will kill and eat you And they learn fast They understand weapons And spaceships And humans are a tasty snack. The book starts slowly and abruptly, but settles in soon, and becomes an adventure. Results I like this, but I m not sure if I ll continue the series.

Decently Good ReadI was very intrigued by the idea of this book The plot of the story is great Ship out in space shot down by unknown enemy Under stress the survivors realize that everything on the planet is sentient and out to eat them I did enjoy it but the Flashback right in the middle detracted from the overall story I feel that it could have been made shorter or possibly placed in a different spot in the book.

Good sci fi military adventureLots of action and adventure in a rather unique setting The only reason it didn t get four stars was the rather extended flashback on the middle of the book It did convey some important information, but I felt it went on longer than needed and rather slowed down the main storyline.

I wasn t sure about this book when I first started reading it but it grew on me and by the end I enjoyed it and will chase up the next one in the series A good sci fi read Cody is a good lead character who seems to have nine lives Very imaginative.

Very goodLots of action Lots of imagination Lots of fun.Reading this book was a fun experience The author has a wildly fertile fantasy world, which he shares with the reader without reserve When the action gets to a peak, and we expect a letdown, he drives it up another notch. Not great literature, not perfect presentation, but an enjoyable read.Ted
